Nebraska Corn Harvest

I shot this video this morning to show the kids what harvest in Nebraska looks like. The Corn was planted in May and has now matured and dried down. It is picked by the Combine and offloaded in motion onto the auger wagon. It is then loaded onto a truck and taken to the grain elevator in Loomis to be stored until sold. It will become Ethanol, Cereal, Corn syrup, animal food, nachos or many other things.

That is one of the coolest videos I have ever seen! Wish I could be there and taken part. It is so awesome that you get to do that.

I can't wait to show the kids when they get home. Pretty cool. Far cry from the "old" way of doing things.

Was that your video or did you just find on YouTube? what kid? Your kids already know. I may show to my students, they have no idea.

I meant everybody else's kids. And yes it is my video. I can shoot more if you want something longer. I just threw it together quick for eveyone to see.
