Day 1 - And We're Off!

Off to where? you might ask. Well the Carty's have begun their first family vacation and we thought we would share our adventure with everyone. Our first stop on this momentous occasion is Lancaster Pa. We will be spending our entire vacation in Pa. by visiting Strasburg and then off to Hershey.

After we checked into our hotel, it was off for a quick bite to eat then off to church.

We went to the Saturday night service at Lancaster County Bible Church. What a perfect way to start off our vacation by worshipping God and lifting up His name. The praise band was great and the sermon was very timely.
They are in a series titled "The Dash" and this weeks topic was spending time with those around us and make the most of the moments we have especially when life around us is so hectic. It was a great sermon and I can't wait for them to post it online so that I can listen to it again.
Well that's it for tonight. Tommorrow it's off to the Strasburg Railroad and Choo Choo Barn.

Awesome! Man how blessed are you guys. Lancaster is our favorite place and we visited there many, many times when we were raising our gang. When you go on train, take a lunch with you, and get off at "Walnut Grove" for a picnik. It will pick you up the next time it goes by you. You'll love it.

Yes, Pauline, this is our first vacation ever. It takes a lot for Tom to be able to leave work the same time I am available. I finally convinced Tom we were both going to have nervous breakdowns if we didn't go away.
